June Screenshot Competition

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby Alex » Sat Jun 13, 2009 1:45 pm

This is the 36th monthly screenshot competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF. This month's competition has been kindly sponsored by Flight1; the winner will receive any one Flight1 product (in the Flight1 Wrapper) they choose.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your shot suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that when positioning your aircraft and choosing camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from June 13th to June 30th 2009, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission before the closing date if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by using the edit button at the bottom of your post. Please don't post saying you have edited your original entry, as this creates unnecessary clutter).

5) On June 30th, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the prize!

6) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) Given the chilly weather we've had over the last month, it's only apt that this month's screenshot competition theme be 'The Snow'.

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best screenshot win! ninja.gif

It's been way too long since I entered this comp, so here's my starter for 10.

Testers are born to fiddle. What does this button do? Oh! Never mind.....

Creator, I suspect that you use that DDR plugin (or bloom effect) to make it look like this.

cool.gif Nice shot!

Ooops, sorry this competition is for FlightSim screenshots Mike, not actual photographs!!! tongue.gif

Really awesome image! If only my FSX would look like that. Probably would take quite a bit of working though.
