Lack of input

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby creator2003 » Mon Jun 22, 2009 12:56 pm

Sadly ive had a real lack of input in the forums lately so i thought id start with acouple of my shots on recon and testing ,some are edited some are not..
also some are very hard imports into FSX that ive done ,coverting textures and gauges etc all the hard parts into fsx from fs9 models so you will not see them in your install unless you go through all the testings and painful disappointments of a addon conversions not working no matter how much you think it should work ...

some addons just pop in with no problems the two choppers s76 and the as350 b are the hard ones to get performing well and are still on going conversions as you can see in the VC pic the gauge and rain on the windows cause issues as with turning on simple lights, this is nothing really to me as im more about the model and if it works to any point in FSX and i dont worry to much if there are some issues as i just like flying them and knowing ive got a variation of the chopper in my fsx aircraft to use if i feel the need ..
anyway here they are ....

hope you like

Ta and yes weather always real world and FEX textures from flight 1 ,id have to say one of the best payware addons for FSX ,choppers are one thing you will always see from me as this is my true love in flightsim ,started with the buses and went into rotorwing and along the way everything else winkyy.gif

my goal for FSX and New Zealand is to model in just about every helipad i can or know of by the time i call it quits and move on from modelling for the sim ..

I love the lines of that S76. One spunky machine. However I have heard mixed reviews of the model from various guys. How do you find it? Is the FDE realistic? What about the panel? functionality etc?
This is for FS9...just cannot be bothered with FSX...highly overrated.

The lighting on that second S76 shot is just SUPERB (I guess thats been edited?) you would struggle to pick it from a real-world shot, awesome.

Hey Mike, sounds like you're focused more on scenery maybe these days but are you (or anyone else) interested in an organised effort to generate textures for helos operating in NZ? Kinda like the GNZLAP effort. Not sure if AI or flyable textures are more desireable, maybe both, but there's definately a bit of a shortage of 'em.

One mate said to me years ago ... It not a competition biggrin.gif .. this was both of us buying or upgrading pc s or adding to them winkyy.gif same can be said about screenies ... when ya spend time building custom made airports , the planning - modeling and the textures take that time away but in your little break away from scenery Great Screens ! cool.gif

Thanks guys and Florian_S you will be glad to know that scenery is Turangi ,so there is more to fly around ,not sure how to get it at the moment with avsims problems but im sure it was on disc with one of Robins addons ...

the s76 was and is one of my favorites still today ,it handle like its suppose to in FS9 and its the same in X, this s76 by nemeth bros is wicked in detail but that could be its downfall as it is very hard on flps due to the high res gauges that ive tryed everything to change but no go,,i really cant find to much of a fault with it and i class it in the same league as the 757 Capsim m, just a helicopter ,
,oh and before i forget ,ive never used the s76 programs inside the VC as i use other 3rd party addon programs to get me around that im more use too ,from memory it didnt work that well at all ..

Remaking this scenery ATM to take advantage of the 2.5 m resolution. Almost finished placing the image......any takers for AGN? tongue.gif

Or will the FS9 files work in FSX?

If you name the file the same as the FS9 scenery BGL it should pick it upin FSX if you drop the agn texture files into the texture folder of your new 2.5meter folders ,"ps never tryed this but gather its correct to my understandings of it all ,,,
i would recomend autogening it yourself though its very rewarding seeing it all lift from the ground up ..

Problem is there are 2 bgl's are I've combined them into 1. Shouldn't be too hard splitting them though
