Thames crash

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi there,
I have a problem whenever I fly into the Thames region...
I have all the payware mesh addons - but am pretty sure I dont have anything specifically for Thames...
I was flying from Hamilton to Thames and the a/c I was flying 'crashed'...
so I tried loading the a/c straight into Thames aerodrome, but it crashes straight away as soon as it loads.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Cheers

you may have a clash with a previous fight , or recent install , If you no were to go for my saved fights sellect all and place into a seperate folder . You wont loose any old flights , then just for fun have a flight over the problem area , I'm very sure you will not get the crash .

If you are talking about FS9 (FS2004), you will find the folder in your "My Documents" folder in Windows XP.
The folder is named "Flight Simulator Files" .

Delete that file , I then would search any file related to Thames , Coromandel and reinstall .

You can just rename the file extension to .bak (i.e. thames.bak)- Then you can rename it back to bgl if it isn't the problem.

What sim are you using?

Hi again, revisiting this problem (im using FSX)
I have tried the advice above have had limited success.
Moving the saved flights didn't seem to work.
Changing extension to .bak does work but of course reverts back to default fSX scenery of NZTH
Change back to bgl and it crashes on startup.
Are there any values somewhere I need to change?
The default FSX NZTH scenery for Thames isnt very good - and I like the look of the addon one.
Any other things I could try?

** I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it - that didn't work either **

Thanks for help thus far
