For a starters you want to ask Blake 'Waka172' .. send him a pm , you may recon his name by many screens , these were from a laptop , for starters gives you the required or should say starting point and work from there , comes to buying one , any major store carries laptops .. personally desktop for me , required to run the highest scenery (E.g Cars, Autogen Scenery) .

portability i guess, plus the coolness factor... tongue.gif

ive got both andtrust me unless your wanting to spend over $4000 your not gonna get something that runs it as well as a pc....

my laptop has about the same spec as my pc and it runs FSX at med settings pretty well but i wouldnt trust a laptop GPU to not burn out my motherboard, and thats why i dont try stress it. remember, the more stress/heat you put on it the shorter the life span

pretty much a laptop follows this rule:
More money (and having an intel CPU)=more FPS

You will be looking for something $3000+ to get you something good enough. You mainly want to go for the best CPU and most ram you can afford. Every laptop with this price tag should have the graphics processing power needed.

As for the heat/lifespan thing- just get something with a massive warranty, and get extended warranties. If it does explode or burn out, they have to replace it. I sure hope you dont plan to hold it on your lap while playing?

Whats your budget?

In the gaming world Desktops are of course the way to go as they are easy to upgrade and are made for features that just dont fit into a laptop , there are good gaming laptops but are only half as good if not less as a good desktop ..

One Day therr will be more out there to buy in the range of laptops as the parts get smaller and do more ,ie like like the new slimline PS3 , the i phone etc ,i just dont think there is a good one now "opinion"

if you are set on getting a laptop get someone in a highend PC shop to ,[not dickys or the likes], i mean a real PUTER geek shop to run you through all the best advice ,

at this present time i wouldnt even look at anything less than a CPU at 3.0hz dual and a 1gb graphic card for gaming ..
