Nice vid, I love those planes..... Great to see the RNZAF employing yet more ex-RAF Herc pilots out of Lyneham - keep going at this rate and there'll be none left in the UK biggrin.gif
' Have you ever notice that the experts who decree that the age of the pilot is over are people who have never flown anything? In spite of the intensity of their feelings that the pilot's day is over I know of no expert who has volunteered to be a passenger in a non-piloted aircraft..'

Reported by Michael J Fox!!! I did 17hrs to the US in the back of a herk, was actually quite fun, but also very boring at times. Got to go jump seat on the way into Fiji though which was pretty cool!

Didn't look like it would be the most comfortable way to spend 17 hours. Although no problems with legroom laugh.gif How noisy are they ? Sounded pretty bad but that was with the ramp open.

ha. they're noisy. i was supposed to be hitching a ride from woodbourne-wellington in a 757 but that was a no show (ended up getting interislander :-/ ) people who were hitching to whenuapai (cadets, not actual service members) got a ride in a herc instead. i was there when they handed out the [compulsary] earplugs
