Oh No sad.gif Lets hope that it will still be around for WOW10. It will be a real shame if it goes overseas.

He's probably busy flying a certain Connie...

Sad to see that the Hurricane may go overseas but thats the way it is with the vintage/warbird aircaft market..this countered by the imminent arrival of the full scale replica FW-190 and the recent sale of the old AFC Spitfire Mk XIV to the same organisation (not due to fly until about 2011). I was even sader to see the the AFC Sptfire head overseas but that has will and truly countered by the recent arival and rebuild of three other Spitfires...

WOW 2010 could still be great..possibly 2 Spitfires, 2 Kittyhawks, 2 Mustangs, Corsair, LA-9 (although this is also for sale I understand), Yak-3, FW-190, A-37, L-39, Vampire, F-18 (?), WW1 aircraft etc etc ..and apparently an aircraft that hasnt been here before according to their web site (although that might be a reference to the FW-190).

The real heyday WOW is now well gone , the 92/94/96 and the 1998 were the best only since the concept was very new and Sir Tim s presents was felt the most , it was early 96 the Mk14 nearly killed the man who started it all , since i have missed the 2006 and 08 shows simply because they were toned down , the Hurricane .. maybe a Sir Peter Jackson may grab the joystick so to speak and keep it in New Zealand . cool.gif

Sorry to say it wasn't the Mk14, it was the pilot who nearly killed himself. I'm full of praise for what Sir Tim has done for NZ aviation, but his three Spitfire prangs proved he was not capable of handling the aircraft. Sadly it took a third accident to ruin it all for him.

Had the love of the warbird , he could fly ( HE COULD FLY ) , he proved very able to run a company , very good with diplomatic affairs , RUSSIAN , jezz rolleyes.gif moody them guys , ........... Simply should have been our Prime Minister ! .. if you can run a small company , build , WB .. the Man ! .... and the silly one .. had his own Airforce ! BRING IT ON !
