Haven't done a good Tasman crossing for a while so I fired up FSX to take my alphasim B-36 peacemaker across on a 5 hour, Sydney to Nelson haul.

Sorry, I forgot to take any takeoff photos so this one is the closest- about 100km out from sydney and cruising at 40,000ft

Rear view of the mighty 36

About half way across

NZ at last!- Passing north of Farewell Spit

The mighty 36 is on the ground at Nelson- an incredible feat landing it there I must say!

Checking out the defnsive mechanisms on the 36 after a great flight. Time for the crew to disembark and have a well earned rest!

Hey thanks for the reply Ian. Really puts the 36 into perspective when a huge aeroplane like the valkyrie is dwarfed by it! smile.gif
