TVNZ promoting their upcoming reruns of Gilligans Island?
Rick Ellis sick of paying berth fees?
A sober reminder of the dangers of Global Warming?
A duplicated GUID?

Sometimes the most boring explanation is the correct one...

Just adding pics to my earlier message about the "Houdini" North Harbour Bridge!

It's quite a landmark for the N.Shore, so I'm surprised it's not in ... unless I have something mis-configured. Either that or it's slated for the eagerly awaited (by me at least) NZWP upgrade winkyy.gif

Sorry ,i did think about building it into the Scenery ,though i thought it would be better for the person that builds NZWP or hobs as its in that domain, i could have built heaps more but i had to remember four or more airports have to share this close space in the future ,
so the city had to be optimized in everyway for the future developments ..

I have a couple of presents to be added to 3rd party addons soon ..

I forgot to add how pleased I am with the addon!!! Quite brilliant. It's really quite uncanny seeing this familiar patch of NZ recreated on my PC. Even more weird if you have real weather turned on. I don't even need to look out of the window winkyy.gif

I may kill two birds and use AKL for the November screenshot comp. I'm thinking of a "Red Arrows Opposition Merge" between a B737 and an A380 .... *under the Harbour Bridge* laugh.gif laugh.gif ... well maybe not!

Having splashed out on those cheap CS deals and got the NZ Herc and B757 I'm so miffed that NZWP hasn't appeared on the FSX horizon yet. So ... fingers, legs and eyes crossed that one of these prezzies may have WP in the filename somewhere!! That said - I dread to think how much work goes into this stuff (for so little return) ... so *anything* is always welcome.

Any chance of you turning up at Snowman's house with FSX and a gun? laugh.gif

It's less than a kilometer from my house, so shouldn't be hard to get it done - would be worth modifying the ground/water texture when it's done so that the image of the uncompleted bridge doesn;t show up underneath - will this be a problem?

Aah ... but you may need to hijack a local Herc to get the aerial views laugh.gif

I live just across the water (opposite Hobsonville) - in Birkenhead/Chatswood. You do the photography, I'll fly the C-130 winkyy.gif

I'll just have to borrow my mates boat and get some pics from the water. Top side I can do in photoshop without too much hassle. It's just finding the time to get it all sorted!

I dont think you have to go to that much trouble ,the shape of the bridge is pretty simple in its design ,all you would need is a good concrete texture and a road top down texture ,a place that i use sometimes is http://www.cgtextures.com/

the hardest thing will be working out how to export after gmax/3dmax ,once you have that sorted your away ...
