A320 arriving into rainy Auckland
It always seems to be raining when I arrive up here! It was clear blue skies when I departed Christchurch.
This is flight NZ500, that departs Christchurch before 6am every day. The monday morning flight at this time is operated by Airbus A320. So if you want to fly on the A320 domestically, opportunities already exist! laugh.gif

Flight was flown on vatnz

Nice!!! I like the weather/colouring - makes a nice change. Whose Airbus is that? FSX or FS2004? I have the FSX/Abacus one, but I'm not overly impressed. Was thinking of getting the Wilco one ...

Just about to start on my screengrabbing winkyy.gif

Another FS9 shot and my only payware Boeing (or airliner)...Airbus in background..these never met of course as the A320 arrived in 2003 and the 727 was phased out in 2001.

Here's my attempt ... the Wilco 737-200 vs the Abacus A320-200 ... with the CS RNZAF 757 making sure there's no "hanky-panky" winkyy.gif

Lots of fun trying to persuade these "bus drivers" to fly in formation over the new Godzone Auckland SuperCity laugh.gif ... using the excellent little utility AirTrafficFX (payware, but not expensive!).

The 727 was phased out in 2003 - both Aircraft flew to ChCh, 7272 in April and 7271 in July (from memory) to be placed into storage. 7272 flew its last flight to Woodbourne in Aug 2003. Not sure when in 2003 the Airbuses arrived??

Well in light of the recent decision to buy Airbus I thought I'd entertain a standoff:

Boeing vs Airbus

Image

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

haha I really like that one, the family of Boeing ganging up on the sole Airbus in the Air NZ family. Nicely thought out biggrin.gif
