Ive been out seeing what needs doing to HamiltonX today ,ive been pretty busy lately and havent really had much time on it at all ,though are starting again on the modelling that in most cases will have more changes by the next time you see it in screens like these ,
i use the addon FEX for clouds water enhancements instead of REX though there is proberly not to much difference .
most of the Aircraft in these pics and repaints found on flightsim.com ,some are fs9 freeware /payware aircraft converted by me to X in some cases

the BK117 is the Icaro BK117 b2 for fs9 ,repaint is by me and not yet released

Thanks to you Ian ,im sure you planted them there lol ,the runway isnt looking that bad ether ,ive still got to make the new runway were there was grass and lay CTC and outside buildings pads with tarmac ,im pretty happy with the custom runway look and have tried to get the textures at as highres as i think for performance winkyy.gif

Great pics! I guess I'm gonna have to switch to FSX if I keep looking at these shots.

What model is ZK-DAK in the 25th shot? And where can I find the paint?

Thanks mate i suggest you do look at getting a copy of FSX and acceleration in the future as its now getting better and better ,,,the DAK is the default one the comes with FSX and the repaint is by By Jon Murchison and used to be found at avsim.com ,though could be now maybe found on flightsim.com ..

Waka i never did fix that panel properly but i still fly my ported version every week ,so i must be happy with it the way it is like most of my aircraft in my chopper hanger

Hi Mike

Here's a few shots of a project of mine I am working on at the moment. It is of Te Kowhai NZTE airfield which as you probably know is situated just out North West of hamilton city. The ground textures are an overlay of my own photos taken from a Bantum Microlight from 2500ft, stitched together and layered over some google earth imagery to intergrate the two. I have been teaching myself Gmax over the last month and have created some hangers and a fuel station so far. I plan to complete the airfield over the next month or so (I'm a bit slow on it).
It may go nicely with your Hamilton Scenery?

Cheers,
Matt

Wow yes that does look good ,actually i dont know that airport /airfield ,the models look cool aswell ,ill have to now look into redoing one of my tanks to look more like yours, the one near CTC ,i had made it close but i have so many objects in one spot i have to add polys to the models that really matter ,maybe you could add this airport as third party like ive done with some of my objects for Robins realnz supercity ...

One thing that is getting to me alot are these images ,its going to be a big downer if im unable to source these 1.6meter to 30 cm res imagery for Hamilton, yes ive made all the models but that imagery you put them on overshines anything i can do with 2.5 meter linz ones im able to use at the moment ..
That leaves me only acouple of options, if i cant source the imagery under deal with the council ,buying it $$$$$, im thinking this wouldnt be very cheap and i mite not be able to justify the price to the amount of sales i mite get ,this leaves me only being able to use 2.5 meters and everyone thinking how cr@p it is to goggle 30cm ..
Im really pushing the image thing with the holders of the copyrights , prices? when? how long ? hurry up ? ,i really need to know which direction im going in before i do anymore work on the project ..

Hey, looking good both of you!

Matt, are those custom trees? If so, you may want to turn the shadows off to get rid of the ugly box shadow. Will make it look a whole lot better smile.gif

Hi Nick. Those trees are just autogen stuff. I think you are right about the shadows though, they look a bit silly in square shapes but I love the shadows from the other objects it sets it all off when the shadows are right. smile.gif
