Which add-on - what system? I have the Wilco 737 and have just re-installed it to my new 64-bit Win7 FSX system. No issues at all. Try one of the many MSFS registry fixers. That may fix it.

Yes the 737 PIC loads okay but not the Airbus series,777 or E Jets. However retried the Airbus series on my Vista laptop and loads okay.

I don't have either 777 or E-Jets. What's the system you're installing onto ... Vista? Any other add-ons giving problems?
Try searching through the registry for Wilco stuff to see if there are any erroneous links to the FS directory. I've emailed tech support at Wilco a couple of times in the past. They take a few days to respond, but they've helped me out with a few issues. I still think the registry fixer is worth a go.

Is it 32 or 64-bit? On my 64-bit, the Programs directory is "Program Files (x86)" ... maybe the installers are looking at just "Program Files" ? Have you tried the Wilco forums for Win7 related issues?
hoki1185 wrote:QUOTE (hoki1185 @ Dec 1 2009, 09:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>64 bit.
I have installed FSX , completely within Program Files on a Raptor10200HD , 8GB ram with no issues and all appaers to be stable . For what reason was (X86) put after 'program file' .Last edited by Ian Warren on Tue Dec 01, 2009 9:12 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Yep - I heard FSX is 32 bit only. Not sure about renaming that folder though - could cause grief with other apps already installed. Occasionally (when I'm in some wierd Explorer view - or Taskmanager or semething) I see various apps as labelled 32x or 64x (or similar) ... so maybe Win7 is actually recognising whether they're full-blown 64-bit or not. Either that, or it's just making it up!
I don't run DX10 mode, as I get too many graphics issues (WOAI mainly) - but speed wise, my new FSX is way better (and more stable). But I've always said that may be because I just haven't re-installed all the experimental crud that brought my old FSX install to its knees
I still say he ought to try one of those FSX registry fixer thingies. It's just possible that the Wilco stuff is picking up the wrong entry/folder somehow. I'm about to buy (I think) another Wilco product - the Airbus (Vol1) - so I'll see how that goes. Maybe the *older* Wilco add-ons get it right - and maybe the newer ones use a different (dumber) installer <?>.
EDIT: He could always donate the 777 and E-Jets to me... I could do the acid test

Well ... I "bit the bullet" and treated myself to an early Christmas present ... the Wilco Airbus Series 1 (Deluxe). It installed into my regular FSX folder (in Program Files x86) without a hitch. It looks like there's something particular to your system that Wilco doesn't like.
Did you have any failed (or partial) FSX installs on that new Win7 system that the installer is somehow picking up? Or did you once try a Wilco product install to the wrong directory then abort half way through?
As a matter of interest, I think the Wilco A320 is *awesome*!Last edited by Adamski on Thu Dec 03, 2009 12:31 am, edited 1 time in total.
