Video Card Update

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

My attempts to purchase either an ASUS or a GALAXY GTX 285 over the past three weeks have been unsuccessful....and rather frustrating, especially when PriceSpy listed numerous traders that were annotated as having the card in stock, when in fact there are none on their shelves!!!....I ordered and made a payment for a card at The PCOnline Shop 12 Nov believing a card was in stock and after being advised of revised delivery dates they finally advised me today that their Distrubutor is unable to source the GTX285 card. Refund action was initiated today....3.5 weeks since the so called "purchase"!!....peeved off to say the least.

I could purchase an XFX Geforce GTX285 but as I have never heard of that brand I am a bit hesitant in buying....maybe one of you out there may be able to give me a steer on the XFX product??

i can also vouch for xfx being good. IMO better than asus cards, which i have found to be pretty lousy (bad luck?)
