Hi guys,

Where can I find NZ replacement sounds for FS9 ATC? I would love some New Zealand accents instead of those stupid Americans!

Cheers,
Scotty

biggrin.gif been listening to that all day , the Capsim 76 ... , but in the background have the scanner running and at times could not understand what they were saying , broken and cutoff but if this to be done properly , we would required the talents off 'Towerguy' and Nick Beatie at ARNZ . cool.gif

You'd have to replace all those WAV files all 45000 of them!

This is interesting
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/esp/cc835019.aspx
All those voices are hiding in Sounds/usenglishbig.gvp

This lets you play with all the recorded voices... EditVoicepack (google)
You cant change the accent but you can make them say different things...

In your case... Stupid Yankee in tower saying New Zealand flight Sierra Echo X-ray Yankee 6 niner, cleared for take-off tongue.gif;)

I was trying to get them to say… Go Away! Goldman Sachs stole the airport as well! biggrin.gif

Its tons of work because its actual voices, I think voice software that reads text is just not there yet, so they had to use a massive database of words.
The Opera browser has the best voice reading software I've heard but I don’t think it would do well with the phonetic_alphabet and expression either.

If they got voice reading software going really well then they could make it very real, have a North Korean tower screaming at you in his mother tongue, and then a bright flash of white light winkyy.gif
