Hi all!

Surprise surprise, I'm back. My dad got a free copy of FS9 with his new laptop so I quickly snaffled it and found an old Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 stick so I can get back in action.

Its been an interesting last month or so. The week before Christmas Wanganui Aero Work made me redundant, ending my 16 month run with the company as an aircraft engineer trainee. However there are no hard feelings, and I am all set to start a new job with Noel Leeming in Hawera next Monday - come see me for a sweet deal winkyy.gif!

The day after my redundancy was announced, I managed to get myself a plane. But not just any plane. A Fletcher FU24 topdresser!

There are still some bits I need to get, and a lot of work to do, but my aim is to restore her to a static condition so that she may be put on public display somewhere in Wanganui.

Also I'm single again - so if by chance there are any lady simmers out there, preferably in the Naki, then.....how you doin? tongue.gif

Great to be back and keen to see what new and wonderful aircraft come out in the next twelve months. Happy flying!

Welcome back Zac and welcome to the Naki from a past Naki resident..you will have to call in and see Ian Dingle's Fletcher at Straty to get your Fletcher fix (one that flys)..sorry to hear about the redundancies etc. I've been following your Fletcher project at WONZ .

Are you still going to the Tauranga Air Show?

Hey Zac. Unfortunately by my reckoning...
"Lady Simmer" + "Taranaki" = "Rarer than Hens teeth" :-)

ps - the Fletcher project sounds wicked, if you dont do the full static display you could always save a little work and build the worlds first FU24 Sim cockpit thumbup1.gif

Hi ya chappie , idea why dont you put that fuselage on a car chassie - have stubbie little wings , authentic cockpit , put a tail on it , paint her up . You would have every girl in the area chasing after you for a ride , laydown backseat for two could become one hell of a camper , imagine touring the country in it ....ooooh Weee thumbup1.gif

Haha Ian the guys at WAW said that the Fletchermobile would be a much better use...

And deeknow, that is an idea I have contemplated many times. Will keep you posted.

Awesome dude, how lucky is that plane.gif I would love to get hold of the cockpit of an old fletcher and turn it into a simulator after I finish my current MD500e sim that is.
