New Zealand Mesh problem - using Red Baron 20m mesh

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby ManuelL » Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:16 pm

Hello,

I am using the Red Baron 20m mesh for NZ with FSX and am quite happy with it. Only in some regions (esp. around Milford Sound) I have a lot of problems with elevated rivers. I am not sure if this is caused by the Red Baron mesh/topo or the FSX standard/FS Genesis mesh.

Has anyone else experienced this as well and knows if there is a fix?

Edit: here is a screenshot:

Thanks very much for your help!
Kind regards
Manuel

First of all, a very warm welcome for a new visitor clapping.gif

Hahaha ... great screenie! laugh.gif This topic has come up a few times, so try having a go at the search function - see "Milford flattens" or something like that. I was in exactly the same situation and installed a fix by someone here at NZFF - but I forgot who!!! ... Sorry!

It helps a lot and makes travelling up and down the sound truly spectacular (as it is!) without being ruined by scenery from outer space laugh.gif

One more thing. If you're a frequent NZ flier, then the Roads and Rivers add-on is a great investment. Every river and (I think) almost every major road. See this thread to see what it does for the Wanganui smile.gif
