Plane lands on beach

The pilot of a small aircraft is safe after he was forced to land on a beach near Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty on Monday afternoon.
The pilot, flying a Jabiru 120, made a “precautionaryâ€￾ landing at about 1.30pm. The aircraft was on a local flight out of Tauranga airport. The landing was made on the ocean beach about 15km from the airfield.





Looks like he did a great job of putting it down, it would have been pretty much low tide so plenty of wet sand to roll out on

Jeepers Matt , your coastline is really full off action , pickup last week , yesterday this .. cool head - correct plan , if your not sure don,t ignore !
