didn't fly. Flying tomorrow and getting Aircraft Technical Knowledge textbook.
Gotta convert to tomos but should be fine. excited to fly at WN though.

Tommmies are similar performance to the 152 correct, slightly slower I heard?
Make sure you get the latest Air Tech Book 2fst4u, I had an old book and was asked things regarding glass cockpits in my exam which wasn't in my book.
That taught me to always go off the syllabus as well, your probably doing that now

FML is from welly too? Lol, it was on this flying course that I was on! I know it rather well. And I overheard them talking about FLH (which was also on the course) being in maintenance.

FML seems to go between WLG and Omaka quite a lot. I never got to fly it but I believe its quite nice. Tommys arnt quite as aerobatic as the 152 but I reckon they are way easier to land. They are a little bit slower with all the extra strength built into the tail. Stalling characteristics are quite interesting at times and they can be quite prone to spinning because of the high tail . You just have to be a bit cautious. A good fun little aeroplane though.

Might see you around 2fst4u, I've just got back into flying after umm-ing and ah-ing for a while as to whether to get my PPL this year. Roger at the flight centre is doing really good deals with flight times in ESC as its engine is nearing end of life date wise but is not near its hour limit, so he's keen to get a few more hours on the engine before overhaul. He's also a far more experienced instructor than you'll find at the WAC so I've been told. Went to go for a fly today but the cloud base got a bit low for circuits, as soon as I got home it began to lift again...

I am in karori though so hoping it isn't as bad down at the airport.

Passed my CPL Flight Test yesterday...

Just glad that it is over after the hiccup at the end of Jan, and then an admin mixup at ASL left me without an examiner last Wednesday...


next on the list... MEIR, maybe a C-Cat and BGT...

Hey Josh, i think we broke most of those planes on that course, because Christina said that the Mighty Damager was in the garage too, she was ment to go solo in it, but couldnt.

So FLH, FML, and DMG, all broken, woops, wonder what happend to ECQ, ESG, JBU, and TAW, hope they are all fine.

Oh well, starting P of F and Tech tomorrow, looking forward for those 2.

I'd say do the C-Cat before MEIR if you're after a flying job asap...

Lol, I failed Air tech. There aren't really any ground lessons at Welly Aero club. I can ask instructors if I don;t understand something but the thing is, I did understand it, and I came out of the exam really confident. Ended up getting 65% Anyone who's got a license have any tips on studying?

I found that one hard as well, got 75% in it. That and MET was the hardest.
Just go through the syllabus basically and do heaps of practice exams/papers and study up really.
But these were the only ones I found tricky, so get these out the way and I'm sure you will be fine.
