2 saitek throttle quadrants.

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby pacblue » Sun May 23, 2010 11:34 am

Hi all, im sure this has been covered somewhere but couldn't find it on here.

i have 2 saitek throttles now, one that plugs into my yoke, and one that plugs into a usb port.
i am hoping to have it set up for a twin with one throttle, pitch, mix for each engine,
i am having troubles as it seems i can only run 1 throttle unit at a time when trying to set its assignments up,
it wont pick up my second throttle when i try to move it to make the assignments in fsuipc.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bit of a bump just to see if this works. Is something I am may be interested in doing if possible.

Edit: Hmm, appears to be instructions how to do it in the stickies, will give those a go if I go this route.

have a look at the instructions i wrote up, if you still have dramas give m,e a yell as i have two qudrants running very well, i will say one thing, make sure you have plugged the second throttle into a usb port on a powered hub or directly to the pc, i tried using the usb ports on the yoke, and it seems that there is not enough power from the yoke usbs to power the extra throttle qudrant porperly.

let me know how you get on

Jason

Ya, thanks for that, noticed the info in the stickies right after bumping this thread smile.gif
i have yet to buy this gear yet, still in the "Hmm.." stage. Mightyape seems to be selling it all as cheap as it gets at the moment. You find the saitek controllers decent gear?

for the price it is good gear, i have not had an issue with the thottle or yoke, but with one throttle, i do have bit of spiking, it seems that it is a common problem, but cvan be filtered out to a certian degree by useing fsuipc. they are a very good starting point
