What a bummer one of my monitors done a nasty sounding splat and died a sudden death pirate.gif but the good news is that it is still under warranty but my flying has lost one third of its view.
The copilot has disappeared I only hope he had his parachute on when that side of the cockpit went black.

yep like a power like shorting out but no smoke or bad smell just like that horrible sound you get when you short the positive and the negative on a 12 volt battery.

What make was it?

I bought a new Dell wide screen LCD not long ago and the power on/off button got stuck in the ON position, so I have to turn it off at the wall. Grrr ... hardly worth carting it back to the shop for that. They really do make 'em cheap 'n' nasty these days sad.gif

A long wait to find out yesterday that it can't be fixed and they haven't got a replacement so have applied for a refund and done a search and there are still a one or two available in Auckland do in the process of getting a refund and ordering another one so I can get back to my three screen VC cockpit again.
