The one thing i have found with VLC testing is the comparing from the many NZ history and current aviation books check with photos , i,ve brought two further to add simply the reason to get the real aerial feel , if you understand the area you life in , you would spot landmarks that put you on track if you get lost .

Really tempted by the full PNW scenery with the Mountains etc....as per yourself I have never been tempted that much with the Aussie scenery as the distances are so vast and the country so flat.
