A hazy summer day, the Piper Saratoga and Pacific North West scenery, with REX added in. Bliss!!! And all this done with Windows XP and a laptop as well. Real world weather and 1920 resolution as normal. Screenshot one is my favourite. Bit of blue haze improved the screenshots as well.

Smooth landings.

Strange looking aircraft isn't it? Sort of like a Piper Archer or Arrow with a long nose added on.

There seems to be some distortion there though, the nose isn't normally that long and the wing lengths between shots 2 and 3 seem to vary a lot, no
doubt due to the angle. I wonder if your 1920m resolution isn't stretching things out a bit....?

Very interesting point about the 1920 screen resolution perhaps distorting the aircraft. Other aircraft look ok but I just wonder if on this particular aircraft, that the camera angle emphasizes the distortion. So next time when the sim is running then I will try a similar flight but with a different resolution set, to see if it makes the aircraft look less strange. Somewhere in the FSX details will be the screen size that it was designed for, so perhaps if I use FSX on a widescreen computer, then in the same way that widescreen tv 'stretches' the picture, then perhaps FSX is doing so as well. 16:9 is apparently the most pleasing ratio for the human eye, but I will still experiment with different sizes for FSX.

Thanks for the tip,

smooth landings.

No , its not .. look at the ground its not distorted ... it would be the moving camera and distant,s as you zoom on the aircraft ... sometime they can make for pleasing screens , this is generally with larger types i fly about in .

I was trying to follow the rules, not within 500 feet of a person, vessel, structure or building! (except when taking off or landing). Fun though to fly at 10 feet!!!

smooth landings.
