ANR Headset Kit for David Clark

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Does anyone have any particular experience and or recommendations where to get a ANR kit for a David Clark headset?

I've had a look at FlightCell but they seem particularly expensive in contrast to other kits available i.e. from the US. Are they [FlightCell] any better, or the same kits for more - they look similar but of course the electronics could be supirior.

Has anyone upgraded their own headset with ANR? How does it compare with factory made? Is it worth it or is it too much of a compromise?

For anyone who's interested, after quite some time researching and sending off enquiries to companies in NZ, Aus, the US & UK, I found these guys.

DM Electronics

They are the Aussie reseller of the Headset Inc ANR Kit - Reviewed by FLYER magazine as equalling or surpassing the standards set by market leading ANR headsets like Bose and DC.........

By far and away the most competitive in terms of product offered (Headset Inc) and they don't fleece you on shipping to NZ ether, which is nice!

Speak to Darin McLean.

Hmmm I wonder if it would fit my Altronics C9073 headset as it appears to be a David Clark clone.

Depending on the depth available for mounting the ANR module, we can offer either the standard kit or the low clearance kit. I will post the depth required for each kit shortly.
Since the C9073 is a David Clark clone, the safe bet would be our low clearance model. More specs will be available on our new ANR kits website shortly.
