Places to stay while on a New Zealand x/c

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby pacblue » Thu Jun 17, 2010 7:46 pm

Hey all, i had an idea but not sure if it will take off or not,

i have noticed that there are a few people in hour building all over New Zealand and one of the best experiences i have had was touring the south island in a little 152 over 4 or 5 days.
so we could start a post where pilots can write in when they intend to fly etc and if there are any generous people willing to lend hospitality etc to them they can then make contact and it will all turn out to be a rather fun, (and cheap) trip.
anyways just an idea thought i would share.

smoothest landings to all.

I do not fly anymore, but happy to have visitors up here in Whangarei. The airport is only about 15-20 minutes from my house.

Well this is a good post to keep an eye on especially for me doing CPL x/c's, I always wondered what would I do if I had to divert somewhere and spend the night there due to the weather lol, would I sleep in the plane to save money on getting a taxi and somewhere to say? lolz

Anyone had this experience?
