Nice pics, Marty! I think the F-86 is the American "Hawker Hunter". Just has that "classic" look to it. I'd have loved to have seen one.

My thoughts as well Adam, Ive often thought how they would go up against each other....the f-86 would have a speed advantage, but it would be interesting.

Theres one here in Tauranga ...non flyer though (along with two Hunters which one did fly until recently)

It probably would of still been flying now but for an accident they don't land to well with the undercarriage still up

Quite a few times if seen the Australian F86 , powered by the larger Avon engine , again as with many early jets it seem so docile .
