Flying as normal with real world weather last night, and despite the clouds, had some lovely light at sunset. Out with the Cheyenne again, great aircraft, and great to fly. A good photo needs good light, and the light was just right here:-

smooth landings.

And I bet Marty that the second shot is your favourite, as it is your short of screenshot, just the aircraft and clouds.

Nice aircraft and a great model in FSX.

smooth landings.

So what do you (And everyone else) use for real world weather?? I get real world weather when I'm online with VatSim and use FSMetar for offline flying - but am interested in what everyone else uses? I'm temped to upgrade to REX FS9 and FSX - what is their real world weather support like? I guess I could always just use their textures with FSMetar anyway........ blink.gif

Cheers - Mat (Sorry for the ramble and threadjacking)!!!

I am using FEX and when I set the flights up, I just click on the 'use real weather' button on the FSX weather panel. I have also downloaded lots of themes from FEX, but the real world weather seems to bring out the best, wonderful natural weather often and it is updated every 15 minutes as well. Also it provides more of a challenge, instead of flying around with only a few cirrus clouds, real world weather is more interesting. Last night it was clouds down to 400 feet, which meant an ILS approach, which was a nice chance to hand fly it.

smooth landings.

Very nice! It looks like a peaceful flight, even with all of those clouds!
