Our Crewies really want those Maxillofacial Shields. unfortunatley they dont fit on our helmets.
I've heard of stories where guys have load chains snap and hit them in the face. It was only because they were wearing those face shelds that they got away without any serious harm.

And they look really cool

I went over this morning with a fuel tanker driver to see the last two off and it was a shame that the crews did not get a good weeks weather while they were here.
Very early on I was told that the flight crews were not allowed to be identified in any photos for security reasons so some of what I took will never see the light of day.

Anyway, it was great to see them here, our flight got cancelled due to bad weather which was fair enough because at times the weather has been nothing short of rubbish.
Looking at the shots above an air 2 air photo might have been difficult with the long range tanks fitted and the tail fins.

Here is a shot from the last departure.

Great shots Gavin...they really are mean looking aircraft (and crew)

Leo .....great shot too....they are evil looking things from that angle. I think Ive missed them...damm it. A mate at air movements txt me and said the C-17 was in and lodaing, so i guess all 4 have shot thru now.
