Todays camera ship and the subjects in the background. A sixth was already on the ground.
It is great to have so many people willing to get together to make flights like this happen. Thank you to you all!!!!
Was one hell of a view from where I was sitting.

Here is a link to some footage I got.

Tragically I recently bought the boxed set of Magnum PI season two, partly for nostalga, partly to see TC flying that awesome orange H500

Woke up at midnight last night (anyone would think I take this stuff seriously) with an idea for a formation take off.
Wasnt part of the initial brief via email but the guys got together and made it happen, here we are hovering into position.

Yip you are right and thats why this flight was so special.
Not sure how many opportunities their might be to do this again but thanks to the guys at NZDF HQ that gave the green light yesterday.
The guys are looking forard to getting the new machines but the Huey will live on forever.

Here we are heading for Woodbourne, had serious butterflys at this point, always get so anxious before some flights until we get going!!

Its strange to look at them and think...when i was working with that and the other Hueys....most of the guys in that pic were more than likley still at school. Nice to think of the old girls looking after another generation.....Thanks for shareing Gavin.

Cheers
