Rhys Postlewaight sent me this photo last night and its a cracker. Great to see and thank you very much Rhys. The 500D looks tiny compared to the Huey.

The photo above was taken by Rhys who is a Huey pilot and is also good with a camera.
He is in the sixth aircraft.

The 500D is a bit further out than normal as we kept things very safe but to fit all six in we couldn't get too close anyway.
Could have flown in one Huey but that would mean we would have missed out an aircraft and crew and I really wanted to avoid that.

Will be posting some more shots of the six soon just waiting to see which ones are required for a couple of magazines.

Sure was a highlight of my flying to date, and thanks again (and again) to all of those in the RNZAF and NZDF who helped make this possible.
Have had some great responses from NZDF which is pleasing.

Four "Dragging" so we could get a few shots of a pair.

I'm a little worried , one Helo pilot , if hes not stretched (knee to the ground) down searching for Indians ... he's stretching bout to snooze or is that an imaginary bow in hand which to take the Indians out on his own biggrin.gif

Currently - only one. Earlier this year we had two female pilots and a female crewman at 3 Sqn. But one of the femal pilots has now moved on to do her instructors course, and the crewman has gone to 6 Sqn (as shes actually a naval helecopter crewman)

Incidentally there are also to German Airforce exchange officers in this photo as well - Lars and Willie. They are on a 3 year exchange with the RNZAF

Following several requests I have just added a folder of photos to my website covering the six ship Huey flight.
Also added some photo's from Exercise Blackbird as well.
