Here are a few photos from the other day.
These aircraft are quite rare now with only three on the CAA register so if you have any photos of these machines please post them here.
Would be great too see other peoples shots of this aircraft type.

WOW...i havent seen one of those for years. I think there used to be one at wigram....used for glider towing....but that was years ago.

Interesting looking aircraft. Pretty sporty looking lines for an ag wagon

Seems there is a payware model for FS9 from CeraSim, doesnt look like a bad model either..

True enough. But aircraft, gutted of their engines & electronics, always appear to me like stuffed animals - and I have issues with that as well...

Ian, you talk about aluminium foil.....have you seen that poor old Dak (RF) out at ....i wont mention the name......they are doing nothing with it at all....its locked in a concrete coffin rotting.
I dont care what they say about it....Ive got pictures of it about 4 years ago....and nothings been done. Its a disgrace....it should be with the Air Force or at least the Antarctic centre.

How the hell it ended up out there i dont know....but it needs to be saved. Last time i was up close to it...and inside it!!....you could put your finger through the skin in some places.
As i said, i dont care who's toes i step on....that is nothing short of criminal....and Im sure the USN still put money towards its "up keep" ....what a joke.

if they still do that...where is the money going??

...meantime there is a freeware one too, which with a little more massage will do good AI duty.

Hmm Agwagon an aircraft I can relate to...been in one on a topdreesing run whilst Skyhawks screamed overhead ...also been in one with 3 (!) of us crammed into the cockpit on wet and windy day flying from Stratford to New Plymouth...not sure if you could get away with that now.

Yes Piper pawnees were very popular as glider tugs around the country. I've never seen or heard of an agwagon being used as one though. Imagine the Agwagon would be too powerful and expensive as well as being more sought after than the older Pawnees.

Forgot that I purchased that FS model above a year or two back until the post above reminded me.
Had a crack at it last night and its a very nice FS aircraft, might have to try and get on FS more often.

I didnt get too many close ups but they will be on my website quite soon so if some of them might work for you let me know.

The MOTAT photo was taken a couple of years ago.
The aircraft has been in the main hangar for quite some time and a new $15 million hangar complex is being constructed for the bigger aircraft, I saw it today and is quite something.

Just glad someone had the brains to keep these aircraft instead of them being turned into pots and pans.

Got to sit in the Mosquito today and that was a hightlinght!!

I'm glad to see that MOTAT is getting some decent storage. The last time I was there was in the early 90's and it was a real shame to see such valuble aircraft rotting away. Looks like these aircraft are finally getting some decent treatment.
