Yes it is the default moon I have not done any editing just by luck I spotted the moon so positioned the aircraft to get the best effect from it

Thanks Doug....I'll have to plan for some screens with that big moon.....Ive seen the "fingernail" moon before, but not that one. Do you know if the sim is aware of the moon phases?.....like when you set the longitude and latitude in the set up....if you know what i mean.

I haven't tried setting the longitude and latitude Marty but I do know that if you alter the time by an hour the moon has shifted quite a way and you have to reposition the aircraft again to get it in the shot I have seen the moon in all the different phases over the time I have been siming but have never taken much notice at what it is at different times of the month.
I don't always stick to the actual seasons I use the summer season if I want early morning or late evening shots and also sometimes over ride the REX weather to try and get different cloud for different shots its all a matter of trial and error until I get what I am looking for.

Sounds like you do what i do ....i just select summer...around midday, unless i want a sunset or sunrise. I have to be honest, i dont really fly much (for the screenshots) just slew into position....take the pics....then have a fly when Im happy with the shots. Strange, but sometimes it's the ones you dont think will be any good , that turn out really nice...as you said trial and error..
Thanks Doug

I'm afraid I have been a little lax latterly and been cheating a bit too but I'm sure I will be doing another Argosy freight run from Kaitaia to Invercargill and a trip down the coast in the HS748 or a Convair as soon as I get my hands on the VLC
