Nothing too exciting...i took these today at work (Museum) Had to get out and do something smile.gif The Mustang and Avenger have been moved into 2 hanger as the space was needed for a big dinner on saturday.
The P-40 is coming along ....one of my tasks is to find all the instruments for the panel, the old guys doing the work keep reminding me "youv'e had the bloody list for six weeks"......"where are they" I figue the old girl's been waiting 60 years, she can last another few weeks. winkyy.gif
Anyway, enjoy....i tried to make them (pics) a little different, as theres not much room left in the hanger. You cant see the vildebeest beside the P-40, and the Oxford at the other end.....busy place

Cheers

I didn't know we had an Avenger in NZ - is it in flying order? Was it found in a desert some place near where some old guy lived who claimed that the sun came out at night and sang to him? tongue.gif (Close Encounters, anyone? ninja.gif )

Thats what Ive been told Paul....or at least to 99% of flying......evidently quite a few of the others could be made to fly with very little work.

Theres are at least three Avengers in NZ. IIRC one is a wreck up north somewhere and theres also one in Gisborne - none are in flying order. The Alpine Collection had one a few years back that was a flyer - this now lives in Australia

laugh.gif I'm glad you got that one - not sure how many on the forum have seen Close Encounters or would remember that scene. I've always been interested in time travel and interdimensionality, as well as the weird stuff that supposedly happens in "The Triangle"... ninja.gif
