Nice to see the Venom do a couple of high speed taxi runs also. apologies for the poor quality photos, definitely need to invest in a better lens, and shooting into the sun is never fun!!

Sweet snaps guys- couldn't be bothered going down with the wind and rain, quite surprised it went ahead. Gutted I missed the Venom and Spittys performance, anyone know who was flying it?

Look forward to your mid routine photos also Leo!

Marty , thats the one thing with the closer off Wigram , the could always have the show at Christchurch , did it in 1987 with airport operational and both days were N/Westers , parking static displays out on the 29/11 western side .

I remember.....what a weekend.....i wonder if we'll ever see that again. I was in the Air Force at the time, and was able to get a little closer than normal .....would never happen now......i mean you cant even park your car for more than two minutes without some "wanna be" robocop telling you to move.......Im a last century guy....when people trusted each other... dry.gif
I know times have changed etc etc.......but .....aghhhhh , you know what i mean sad.gif

Doug B flew the spit with Keith S back seat for the cenotaph flypast - spitty got stuck in the mud on turning off the grass 25 runway after landing (a very good 3 point landing I might add), apparently not to far off prop strike again, but Keith flew the display - very fast low passes in front of the display viewing area, high energy climbs, steep wingovers, loop etc, he is an incredible display pilot.

I don't know who was piloting the 01 airtrainer on its solo, but that was great display also.
