Maybe they should put up a sign at the end of the runway "IF YOU ARE NOT AIRBORNE BY NOW YOU MAY END UP IN THE POO"

Nope not me, was Victor Alpha Tango. Don't know why people bother landing at Thames, the landing fee is $40! Thats only $10 less than Auckland International!

Yep shame about the incident and good to hear no one was hurt, but I couldn't stop myself laughing..
And yea I always did low approaches and overshoots when I went to Thames on my x/c's, like in winter that runway its a muddy bog and they charging $40 to land there!!?

Feel sorry for the pilot, overshooting a runway is one thing, but overshooting a runway and landing in poo is another lol

The Thames landing fee is only $40 if you don't pay on the day - it's only $10 if you use the honesty box by the fuel pump.

The Jan/Feb issue of CAA's Vector magazine has a big article and a few photos (including the front cover) about this incident.
