It was not until I built my new "box" two months ago that I developed more than a passing affinity with FSX. Up to that point I had picked it up/put it down but never felt sufficently engaged by the experience to really dig into it. Now that I have, I am discovering things which doubtless most in these forums have long been aware of and either fixed or just accepted.

I like to fly with full realism and current weather.

To help make the whole thing a little more immersive I have installed the freeware FTX AI package. On first aquantance with this i was quite impressed but i now find the experience marred by the incomprehensibe actions of ATC eg makeing the active runway the opposite of what would be expected having regard for wind strength and vector. I know that there are neccessariy going to be limitations but this seems so absurd I'm wondering if i have missed something?? It also does other dumb things like providing landing clearance (on one vector) whilst also clearing AI traffic to land/take off on the cross vector!

Is this something I just have to get over - or is there anything i can do (apart from ignoring ATC biggrin.gif )?
