screen resolution problem in F/S 2004

i have a wee problem and need some assistance please ---------------- i run F/Sim 2004 and have done for many moons , i used to be able to change my game resolution under (display etc) now changing the resolution does not work i can try from the smallest to the largest resolution -hey presto ----------- it stays the same --------- i have changed video cards now running a Navidia 8860 x 512 gt no difference --------------- should i re install - would that sort it out --------- im reluctant to do this as i will loose a couple of down loads and one i could not retrieve------------- what should one do?

Just out of curiosity to start with, do you run full screen, or window mode? What's your screen resolution set to?

I seem to remember that when you replaced the graphics card in FS2004, you really needed to rebuild the fs9.cfg file to make sure that it had details of the new card only. Maybe worth a try -- just backup and delete the cfg file and see what happens.
