I've often wondered where that expression came from. I wonder whether "todger" has anything to do with it? laugh.gif

I seem to remember an old (schoolboy) joke ... "Mary Rogers!" .. "Does she? Ooooh!!"

A few sources say Samuel Pepys used the expression quite often and he was in the mid 1600's, about 300 years before 'todger' put in an appearance although a quick search of an online version of his diary doesn't find any instances of it - though if the webmaster there ever checks the logs to see what people have been searching for that should give him a snigger smile.gif

Concensus says it's something to do with the meaning of the name Roger, there are a few different versions but they all involve the words "famous" and "spear".
