After years of frustration and failed attempts to repaint, something Ian said on TS today must have flicked the switch rolleyes.gif

GDS, a Schleicher Ka7 was probably most well known as "The Pink Panther" around Tauranga... I can claim a few hours in her before she was sold to Ben Clarke and is currently undergoing a full rebuild.

Still a few spots to tidy up, and awaiting some photos to add the Pink Panther tail-art that the old girl has smile.gif

Well - blow me down! The Ka-7 was the first "real" glider I solo'd in - went like a little rocket! ! Many years before that, I solo'd in a T-21 Sedbergh.

Sadly, I just haven't been able to afford to keep it up - and daren't even show my face at a gliding club in case I burst into tears laugh.gif ... I just don't want to get "hooked"!

Great way to break the ice!
A whole new dimension of flightsim awaits you...
If you haven't already, splash out and get FSRepaint, it makes life so much easier.

Well, she's all done... If I wanted to get pedantic, there were chips of paint missing from the fiberglass nose section...
Thank god I haven't tried the ex-Matamata Ka13 - That skewered a sheep during a out-landing a few years back censored2.gif

Think I might have to buy the Real NZ FSX collection, after I get VLC though winkyy.gif . You can't beat that sort of value (Wellington, Malborough, Southern Lakes, Rotorua and Tauranga for $99). I can get a further 20% off the FSX Collection if I buy the Auckland Supercity at the same time! biggrin.gif
