Air New Zealand's new Boeing 777-300ER

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby ZKNBA » Fri Oct 22, 2010 3:53 pm

I just watched this video from the KPAE Paine field blog ( http://kpae.blogspot.com ) that has Air New Zealand's brand new 777-300ER in it.
You can't see much of it but I noticed that the pacific wave appears to have been removed. ZK-OKM will be Air New Zealand's first new aircraft since ZK-OKH was delivered in January 2007.

I'd rather see a complete new livery. The fuselage is too white now without the wave, but they should do something that reflects their young/edgy/uniquely NZ culture

It really is a pity that the pacific wave has been removed

Thanks for posting -I really thought that Air NZ would introduce a new scheme. Perhaps it will happen with the 787

A couple more pics of the new ANZ 777-300 coming in to land after another test flight, and an MP3 there too of them doing some tests of the SELCAL system. Only a few more sleeps now till she makes her way home to NZ...

I'm fortunate enough to be on the delivery flight NZ6393 LAX-AKL arriving into AKL Xmas Eve morning. I'll post some pics up when I'm back, providing the company gives me the OK! smile.gif

Awesome stuff, look FWD to your pics. Be great if you could get some of the cockpit?
A group of us in vANZ are emulating the delivery in real time, including the leg from KPAE to KLAX. We'll be with you virtually New_Zealand_etc.gif
