Im just about to beam some dollors to purchase VLC (Download) ....just want to know if Im able to burn the download to a cd for safe keeping.........only asking because when i got the C/S 130's and went to put it on a dic, i got a message that said some parts couldn't be moved....which made me nervous. I know i can reload the hercs from the C/S site, but i want to back up.

I dont really want to wait for the postie winkyy.gif

You can certainly archive the installer, and are encouraged to do so.

thumbup1.gif Got it (VLC) ....NOW i have to do it justice.
Today, i spent a few hours in computer shops around town...just looking. I really want to get my graphics up to speed......i was looking for an upgrade for my 512mb AGP card.

I meet this young fella from Global PC who seemed amused at the fact i was asking about AGP components......by now i was feeling old........he showed me their only AGP card($260...for a 1gb)and then told me he would take my money, but it would be a waste of time installing it , as my system was so out of date sad.gif ........and went onto explain the virtues of Intel i6 2.6 + processors etc.....jeez, i just want to see the autogen tree's.

Maybe it is time to put some dosh aside (read, stop smoking) and go for the major upgrade.........i looked at a Gateway system , quad core something, with 4gb ram, and a 2gb graphics card....all in black with lots of flashing led's all over it for $1699............ahhhh, i dont know....seems what ever you buy, its out of date two days later.
I seem to be getting reasonable performance out of my coal fired system....but for how much longer.....

If i can , i would recommend Global PC here in chc....good info , no pressure.....ask for Steven J....good bloke....but now Im really confused unsure.gif
