your country is absolutely GREAT!
Italy's not bad either
As for the VFR charts, I personally don't know as it's not really the3 sort of flying I do, but I'm sure somebody on NZFF can help you out!

FS2004/FSX New Zealand Navigation Flight Maps and Beacons/NDB's/VOR data. Includes four sheets with frequency and five sheets in A4 format for ease and printing. Based on real hi/low altitude flight charts.
Im currently trying to finish a more recent , the latest in this format , the file above will get you going.
Just printing - thanks for the HU!
Any news on the "more recent" project?
I know there are currently plenty of of pots boiling on your stove (trying to roughly translate a german saying...), but I'm in desperate need for a printed collection of visual/VFR NZ charts. Anything comparable to the US Free Flight Atlas by Jeppesen.
Hard to get NZ charts in our local pilot's equipment shop...
Any idea or link?
Cheers,
Markus.

Markus - I think I have a couple of (slightly old) copies that someone here at NZFF kindly donated to me (I hope I thanked him!!). They'll be a couple of years old, but still OK <???> to use in FS.
Drop me a PM if you want them with your snail-mail address! I'll go through my junk boxes to dig them out!

I've often wondered about exactly this - as the paper maps are pretty big when fully folded out. I think the electronic versions are best suited to various software that can display a moving map etc. Printing out via an A4 printer - tiling/joining the pages would be a nightmare, I suspect.
People have complained about the reverse - scanning these large maps and trying to compile one complete image/pdf. Ugh!
Me, I'm old fashioned. Give me a good old paper map that I can have on my lap... not as much fun as an air hostess, but at least it'll get me to my destination

Exactly what i did was a scan large map , giving you headings from the airport to a beacon , tune it in on your radios ADF , this is printed in A4 format and i simply place into a ClearFoler so when flying you just turn the page .
Included are other references .Last edited by Ian Warren on Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:25 am, edited 1 time in total.

I created a short text file (which prints out to one page) with all my common NZ destinations in it - listing runways, ILS/NDB frequencies etc. I refer to it often!!
