Fantastic! Thanks a lot notworthy.gif

I'm just in the midst of a file clean out here, but as soon as I'm done I'll be taking the old girl for a thrash!

Go for it, Paul. I think that camo paint scheme looks great on the Blunty. Having just watched the L-39 at Ardmore (it's an amazing little aircraft!) an "RNZAF" version would be a treat!

Perhaps something like this... ?

L-39 "RNZAF Strikemaster"

Is this FS2004 or FSX? Hmmm ... a couple for the Carenado one .. plenty for the default 152. I have "Flying Club X" with the 152 in it, but I think FSInsider gave it away as well.

Nope ... couldn't find one either sad.gif ...

File Description:
Repaint for the IRIS P-40N Kittyhawk Mk.IV, depicting two aircraft of RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force) No. 4 Servicing Unit, Ondonga (Solomon Islands). In order to represent some varieties of the three "Gloria Lyons" versions, I decided to depict NZ3148, being the first variant and NZ3220 (version 3) in its late 1944 Foliage Green/Sky Gray paint. You may notice 3148 appearing quite 'war-beaten', whereas 3220 is intended to show a rather well-groomed condition after coming home again.

Tweaked model file (external tank) without specular shine included, provided with permission generously granted by IRIS.

Cheers Naki... biggrin.gif

I see it's for 2004, I wonder if it'll work with FSX?

Check out the NZFSIM site for repaints. I try to keep it up-to-date. If you spot any that aren't in there, drop me a note!

Initially, I gave "Add-on Converter" a bit of bad press, but ended up buying it as I like running in DX10 preview mode. It's helped out with quite a few aircraft. There are a few P-40s around for FS2004/FSX ... one is way better than the rest, but I've forgotten which laugh.gif ... very useful! I think they all worked in FSX though.

Thanks for the info Adamski I will check it out.

After looking at the photos from the Wings over Wairarapa air show I thought it would be awesome to have those skins if they we're available.

Thanks again guys.

Whereabouts are you, geographically? The P-40s are frequent (and popular) performers at the airshows.

I'm just north of Wellington, (for now anyway.) We had all good intentions of going across but decided not to in the end, the weather wasn't too bad afterall, so maybe should have.

Yeah i,ve seen them before at air shows and always am blown away.

Just recently got the P-40 from IRIS and have flown nothing else since, would love one of those skins just to make her feel more at home.

SgtPepper ... I think I prefer the A2A/Shockwave P-40 over the IRIS one. However, I don't think there are any NZ repaints for it. There do seem to be a couple for the IRIS one though (including the one above) - listed here on NZFSIM.

Gloria Lyons and Esma Lee were already mentioned.
I could add these three Wairarapa Wildcats:

FS2004 RNZAF P-40M Kittyhawk Mk. III

I've just realised Iris has two p-40's, The warhawk which is freeware for 2004, and the kittyhawk for FSX which is payware. I bought the Kittyhawk for 5 bucks in the sale recently.

Most of those skins are ment for the warhawk. I'll try them for the kittyhawk anyway and see how they fit.

Thanks again guys for all of your help.

The one I put there is for the kittyhawk and I think I tried some of the others on the kittyhawk and the tails were all messed up, I think.
