This weekend the 5th of Feb the Ashburton aerodrome is host to the annual homebuilt aircraft extravaganza. It brings together members of the Sport Aircraft Association (SAA) for a long weekend of competitions, lectures and displays. This event alternates between Ashburton and Tauranga yearly.Registrations for this event are expected to exceed 100. Visitors are very welcome to the event. Flying will commence at 10.00am on Saturday being the main public day.
A big attraction at this years event will be a static display of the Martin Jetpack. WOW should be a lot of fun!!! I have seen the Meteor looks good all painted up!
Publicity Officier is Keith Pickford.

OO, sounds good, ill certainly try to be there!

I went to a fly in at Ashburton a couple of years ago, and you could freely walk around the aircraft parking area (sensibly of course), was great to get pictures of the aircraft!
