This thing keeps amazing me....the more you look , the more super detailing comes to light. Each versions tiny differences have been included. There are quite a few variations ...eg F-6, D, K...even the serial numbers on the manufacturers plates are in line with each model.
Other nice little bits, like optional (and beautifully rendered) drop tanks...the 105gallon paper tanks, and the 75 gallon types...all the plumbing and stenciling....stunning.

BUT, thats for later....this is the office.......

Remember these are are modeled on actual restored, flying aircraft...hence some modern avionics......

I agree they have not compromised on detail. But the plane seems unfinished to me. There are no sounds asigned to switches, magnetos etc and the fuel pump has the default sound which is as criminal as using a default FSX gauge. Even vertigo studios are giving us a lot more cockpit sounds now compared to there early stuff. It just seems that a little extra work would go along way to providing a more imersive experience and hearing a default cessna fuel pump in a mustang as awsome as this one does not. Sorry about the wineing but i am a stickler for detail beyond just good looks and feel these additions could be easily implemented.

Fair comment Andrew...i think i read on the website that a sound upgrade of some sort is coming, so maybe it will include accurate internals.

Hence the reason this is a stopgap for me , A2A never fails , the engine sound i queried with the whistle , NZ Muzzies get gun portholes sealed , the whistle scream is not so pronounced , after having a P-51 buzzing CHCH many time s i dont here that screech , more the thunder .

The Devolpers blamed it on there prefect sound pack with the air blowing through the gun ports , Ive seen the NZ muzzies and all Aussie show 51s and the never had such a pronounced whistle , only type whit such a hi pitched screech/whistle was a DB601 ME109 and that was due to the large intake on the port side .. but on a P51 , course cheap video sound s give the impression but not true to a Mustang .

Oh bother, up till now I've always been 'hearing' those sounds blink.gif and so just now had to go and take a quick flight around Wellington. You're right, it has been my imagination supplying the missing sounds!! The trouble is now I'm aware that they are not there and it's annoying me!

I'll just have to wait for the accumsim version to come out! smile.gif
