OK ... it's back on topic for me (at last, I hear you all say!!).

Here's an early morning start for Deane's incredible Cresco. Target, the Waitakeres ... painted apple moth ...
A very artistic shot with the 'piece de resistance', color-matching aircraft and dispersant smile.gif .

Thanks, OND ... I was going to try some "agent orange" ... but then it'd have to be a sunrise or sunset to match laugh.gif

This is Deane's Cresco of course, which was looking so pretty after its wash it went for a photoshoot over Tongariro.
This shot actually shows something quite unique in the screenshot competition, to the extent that I had to reread the competition rules to make sure it qualified. Any ideas?

Good guess, but no. The scenery is actually a little photoscenery I hope to release with the VLC North Island airfields, it covers just Tongariro and Ngauruhoe. But that wouldn't make it unique...

I'm glad you noticed that, but that isn't it. The blue hue is actually my new favourite REX theme, one of the Overdrive Sky Themes -- Blue Haze. Sort of. Not quite though, because of the one unique feature of this screenshot... I'll give you a clue -- I needed to read the 'etc' to make sure it qualified:

It isn't FSX -- it's Prepar3D, which is built on FSX code. I just wanted to see if it could be used to produce nice images even without the 3 years of tweaking which has gone into my FSX.
I will change this to the FSX version once I find the time. Remind me...

Great shot, Rob thumbup1.gif ... and an interesting "spin-off". I wonder whether "Flight" will use, share, or have hooks for 3D systems like this.

After the war they came home. They could fly, they needed work, they could get cheap planes, they had an idea. They became ...... the first "supermen". Ants tigermoth over the hills near Te Kuiti. Pic has had minor alterations to remove front windscreen and add hopper gate underneath.

Nice screen! I suspect that'd lower the Moth's airspeed from around 60 knots to 25!!!! laugh.gif

First reaction - where'd that scenery come from? Very impressive.

One thing I have noticed in most Cresco screenshots (in this thread and others) is that there is plenty of up-elevator being applied. I had the same problem everytime I took screens too. The issue is quite simple - trim !! The Cresco needs lots of nose up, especially at full weight to fly on an even keel.
