For Bug's benefit - as he probably doesn't know what on earth we're talking about (laugh.gif) .. the Coromandel Peninsula is known for its "alternative" lifestyle, where "alternative horticulture" is/was often practised.

Righto, long time lurker, first time poster here.
A shot of Deane's fabulous cresco operating on a strip on Owhata road, Pyes Pa up the back of Te Puke. Nasty nasty strip. I can't get off it with a fully loaded Fletcher, but the Cresco manages Ok.

A smile on the pilots face and why not after getting off a particularly nasty strip!

Sorry about the quality of the shots, my computer is a laptop with a 17" screen. do I get bonus points for inferior equipment? winkyy.gif
I find clouds are an issue, what can be done to make them more realistic. I have detailed clouds ticked. Anything else I can do to make them look nicer?

Cheers
Graham

Welcome, noooby (we all love these "virgin" posts) laugh.gif

If you haven't any fancy add-ons, then trying a different default weather scheme sometimes helps. Time of day can make a big difference too.

Great screens ... but you're going to have to pick *one* winkyy.gif

"In that case, Sir, can you confirm or deny the (apocryphal) story of a Police chopper fully laden with the stuff "accidentally" dropping it ... and so seeding half the peninsula? Or was that Golden Bay? "

We are unable to confirm or deny the incident you refer too, due to ongoing investigations.

thumbup1.gif NOOOBY.....great screens....keep them coming. My grandad is buried close to there....try not to dust the old guy winkyy.gif

Just one? Yeesh, in that case, number 4, the close up shot.

Splitpin, where is your father buried, I'm from Te Puke originally and know the area pretty well, but now reside in Canada.

Love your first screenshot Noooby. Very much captures the atmosphere of an early morning start in cool calm clear air.

I thought the bar was high last month, but this month is incredible. Good thing Feburary is a short month is all I have to say!
Any way after much deliberating and viewing of other members screens I had a brain wave. I thought about agricultural aviation, crop dusting jumped to mind (and by the looks of things it jumped into a few other peoples minds as well) and then having the trusty old super cub or Cessna 180 to nip down to the shops in. I saw that everyone else (really, EVERYONE! biggrin.gif) is doing crop dusters, and I don't blame them with such a brilliant cresco. But not being one to follow suit I decided I would do something else. Now I have no C180 or Super Cub's, in fact the closest thing in my hangar is an Auster, and I certainly don't have the scenery (or VLC sad.gif) to pull it off either. Then I had my brain wave. Being a kiwi kid with a dad who grew up on a farm, country calendar was a staple TV show. And as anyone who has watched more than a couple of episodes knows, the autumn muster is a significant job, that is plagued by the weather closing in, the shear size of high country stations and the number of sheep they have to track down and move to lower ground. If your getting tired of reading this that is understandably and I'm almost done rabbiting on about not a lot winkyy.gif . Nowadays light helicopters are called in to help with the mustering, moving ever increasing flocks to the valley below.

So, that is what my screen is about! An early morning start, that is just scraping by as legal (not that anybody is going to pull you up for it in the Canterbury High Country), setting off to run the sheep down to the valley's.
Probably didn't need an itro a similar legnth to War and Peace but it is finished now! laugh.gif

The aircraft is the default (darn angry.gif) R22 beta, the sky and cloud texture's are HDE V.2 and the sheep are of my own placement, courtesy of Microsoft.

Enjoy smile.gif

I guess its ag aviation themed, but I would not term an R22 an "Ag" aircraft as such. But everybody interprets the rules differently I guess.
