'Section F8' came out with a file that makes installing their F86 in FSX a piece of cake. sf86fsx_fixup.zip.............Avsim. This is over my old home town, Anchorage AK with PANC to the left of the nose and Elmendorf AFB above the fuselage. Those two bumps on the horizon, center left, are Mts Foraker and Denali/McKinley.

I'm glad to hear this is now FSX compatible! Thanks. Love this plane on FS9.

Nice pic..haven't tried this in FSX yet as I was waitng for the FSX native model but this has reminded that perhaps I should try the FS9 model out in FSX (the FSX model is taking a long time unfortunately) - which IMO was the one of the best freeware aircaft in FS9.

Their prior method of converting to FSX seemed like a labyrinth of miscellaneous files with a fairly involved 'readme'. Now it's a straight forward 'aeroplane', 'effects' and 'sound' installation with nothing 'previous' required.

Great stuff- I had downloaded the FS9 model and tried it in FSX but couldn't get rid of the black canopy and a few other FS9- FSX issues....

Just need to find some decent internet and time to try these out! (travelling sucks- I'm missing my FSX fix!)
