Ok, I've finally come down to my top ten. Picking a favourite from these, not really possible.. But here we go

Clouds 1
My favourite shots tend to be of clouds since FS does such a good job of drawing them. If only they had shadows! Vincent B190 doing charter work for me in Utah, USA

Rotate
That moment a heavy gets underway on it's long journey, great fun! Emirates 777 departing Fly Tampa Dubai

Almost there
Landing into St Maarten is one of those 'must visit' places for any simmer/ pilot. This is the QWsim 757 landing after a scheduled flight from Philadelphia

On 'scenery' patrol
The Milford area is great for scenic flying. This time an Australian customs Dash 8 on exercises in the area. I love the wall of clouds in the background and the sharp details of the Dash (Dash 8 fan too)

Milford dawn
This one adorned the NZFF banner for a month back in the day. Helicopters NZ arriving into NZMF. Love that bluish dawn sky with the stars still out. (wish I could find that sky texture again)

inside my top 5 now...

Blast off
Virgin Blue B738 departing out of Sydney, heading for Melbourne. I just really like the way the editing turned out on this one

Low and slow
A Beaver doing what it does best, exploring Alaska. I like this one for the 'real' look it has - nice atmosphere. Especially those mountains in the background.

Serene cruise
This is where I spend a lot of time. At cruise altitude in Boeings. I think this is why this particular shot is such a favourite. I'm at home up here

An oldie but a goodie
Probably approx 2007 vintage picture, flying the PSS Dash 8 down from Auckland to Nelson. Pictured flying around the thunderstorms above New Plymouth and taking a beating. Worth it for this shot though.

My favourite?
I just feel like I'm right there watching the real plane go by. This is in the San Francisco bay area, approaching KSJC. That's a posky 737 pictured.

All shots are FS2004.
Cheers,

Yeah, some really nice ones, love #1 aswell.
Just a quick question. Is that an addon for St Maarten, and if so where can I get it?

Hey there, you can get this scenery here: http://www.flytampa.org/tncm.html

Thanks everyone else for your kind replies. Number 1 seems popular. I must agree I thought it was just "wow" flying along at that point too
Cheers

Some pretty shots are appearing here. Personally I have a preference for any shot that isn't FS standard, i.e. the viewpoint centered on the aircraft datum. So in the sequence shown, I have to go for #2 - the Emirates departure, which is a thought out shot. With some judicious cropping, however, any of the others would reach the "favourites" list of any screenshot contest judge. A spot of editing, to give the shot more action, is also a tempting factor for a favourite.

Just my personal thoughts - give me a screenie with action any day winkyy.gif

Bloody ell AL.......That is FS9 to the max...which makes them all special. As said by the others, all great....but being a cloud guy....that B-1900 is stunning......thanks for taking the time....very interesting.
I think we need to start a "how to" thread .....with regard to screenshot technique......first class taken by you...subject , motion blurr and heat haze... winkyy.gif

Thanks again thumbup1.gif

Thanks again guys. The thing is with screenshots, is I can take 1 fairly decent one, out of 100 ordinary shots. Or, I'll go flying and get not one screenshot the whole flight. It can be so hit and miss some days. This is combination of luck, and many many flights where I got nothing. My sim doesn't produce such interesting views all the time biggrin.gif

#1 and 2 are my favorites in this series, 1 for the great clouds and lighting, 2 for the super angle.
