I am still up in the north of Colombia, and took a few more photos this morning at Santa Marta airport. Not sure what the Twin Otter was doing there, but lucky to get a couple of photos of it. Judging by the clouds and weather, it would be a turbulent flight today.

smooth landings.

Nice pics, and yeah I agree the 7-3 livery is a lovely one.

This trip is only a holiday, and very nice it has turned out too. Lufthansa have been doing some fantastic 72 hour sales, and despite rising fuel prices, there are still a few great bargains around, so when I saw Colombia so cheap, I could not resist!!! Off to Norway on Monday, then down to Switzerland a of week later, and then in May to the Azore Islands (Portuguese), so there should be a few more interesting shots coming up. The camera is getting a lot of use.

I still cannot get over how safe, friendly and relaxed Colombia is, not what I was expecting.

Regarding the photos, the camera is still doing a great job, but slowly I am beginning to long for a large sensor camera, so I may update in time. Still love the Pansonic though, as for its size and weight, it is doing a great job. One disadvantage though (especially for landing/take-off shots) is that it will not do burst shooting in RAW mode, only JPEG. Usually for take-off/landing shots I just set it to burst mode and let it fire off 3 photos a second, so that one is about right, but only in JPEG mode. The 18 X optical zoom is fantastic, makes things much easier when you cannot get close. And being a Leica lens then the optical quality is good too. Nothing is perfect though....

smooth landings.
