Classic Fighters Friday Timetable?

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Can anyone tell me if the Friday is a full day of flying, a practice day or only afternoon displays?
I'm trying to sort out rentals etc and I'm getting a deal on 4-days car rental so wanting to know if driving up from CHCH on the Friday morning is a viable option.

In regards to the Friday, it is a full practice day and will start following the pilot brief and that is held at 9.00am.
Once the pilots are briefed they put there name/aircraft against the time slots on the white board that are allocated for the day.

Not everyone needs to practice so it is difficult to put a program together but from my experience some of the best flying can bee seen on the practice day, not sure why but it seems to work out that way.

We are all very excited to have the FW190 arriving VERY soon. So much hard work has gone into it and test flying was held up in Germany due to the bad winter they have had so I would suggest we all cross everything and hope it will be flying at the show.

Am sure I can speak for all of the other organisers, a huge amount of work has gone into this show with a lot more to be done in the next month and then all we need to do is wait for the aircraft to arrive.

Might head into town for a good blow out on the Sunday night :-)

I hope there will be some sort of post here with meet up details. Not sure what day I am attending yet, but will definitely be there (my Dad is buying my ticket so that's something I can afford lol). See you there
