I know most of you Anglo/Yankophile war-mongers tongue.gif biggrin.gif are gonna want to hang me for saying this, but I reckon the 109 is the most purposeful looking fighter of the period, and certainly sounds the part in the vids I've seen. Move over Spitty, here comes the big aircraft on campus!!! laugh.gif

Is there an FSX model of it?

Marty your luvly #3 shot has made me dig out my Flight Replicas disk again, long neglected.
Deeknow, I agree...an Emil with gunpods and that camo, is just The Business.
And the FR model is good for FSX too.

whathesaid.gif ... the clouds on #3 are simply *amazing*! I must admit, the 109 looks like a real *WAR*plane - compared to the Spit (that's surely just too pretty!)

And to add the reasons why the 109 was the most lethal , the highest scoring EVER ace off all time 'Eric Hartman' lived in the thing and would not trade over to the FW190 .

I have the 'Just Flight' 109 for FSX but shortly Mike at Flight Replicas is coming out with another - he already has some.

Quite a guy, that Hartmann. Gave up his generalship in the new Luftwaffe 'cause he thought the F104 was a killer. Turned out he was right.

deeknow.....dont worry, Im with you......if i could find a good fsx zero i would be screening it as well....The 109 was/is a mean little machine....i love it. Im sure there is an FSX one around, i get confused between the flight replicas one and the sky unlimited (i have both)....one wont have the swastika on the tail for political/cultural reasons....... which seems a little silly after all this time....its history now......and it was a great aircraft.

Thank you Charl....i agree, that gray is nice....i took zillions of screens of it....no matter which way you view it....its awesome, thanks again .

Great shots ..love the lines of the later model BF-109s and the sound of the Daimler..would love to see one in action...Russians .....their WW2 machines dont look that bad...the Yak-3 is rather pretty..Russian Spitfire ..LA-7/9 ..you could argue that its better looking than a Thuderbolt and dear I say Corsair...Pe-2 is another looker..IL-2 and the chubby Polikarpovs ..well thats another storey

Ian, check out the file: panel_fsx-cs_yak3.zip at avsim.com for an FSX panel to work with it, looks pretty good.
The Yak is only 9euro so I might pick it up too

A2A/WoP's 109 got the FSX treatment a long time ago, completely DX10 compliant too.

The FR 109's never seemed to run that well in FSX, but for FS9 use I swapped the aircraft .cfg with the A2A model and modified it to give a better representation of the G/K models.

If you're after a fine Zero, the A2A/WoP model that came with their WWII Fighters package for FS9 (where their 109 originated) will hit the spot.
So far as I have found with experimenting, it's a no-go with DX10 but hums along in DX9. Some users (myself included) had issues with the elevator trim running away, but a simple .cfg mod fixes it.

OK, but first there are some myths that have to be put to rest...
